WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Washing Instructions – Care Tips for your oseas
We want our boxer shorts to last as long as possible, and washing is essential. Below are detailed instructions on how best to care for and wash your lyocell oseas to prolong their life.
Why wash textiles regularly at all?
Regular washing of textiles is important to remove dirt, odors, bacteria and other contaminants. Washing also removes allergens such as pollen or pet dander from clothing, which is especially important for people with sensitive skin or allergies. In addition, regular washing helps to maintain the durability and functionality of the boxer shorts.
Avoid fabric softeners and bleach
Lyocell is a sustainable, cellulosic fiber derived from wood pulp. In order to maintain the eco-friendliness of lyocell and extend the life of your boxer shorts, it is advisable to avoid fabric softeners and bleach when washing. Fabric softeners can leave residue on the fiber and affect its breathability. Bleach can fade colors and weaken fibers. Instead, use eco-friendly detergents that are suitable for lyocell.
Wash at a maximum of 40° C (105 F) - better at 30°
Lyocell is a delicate fiber so it is important to wash our oseas at low temperatures to preserve fiber integrity. Therefore, wash your oseas at a maximum of 40° Celsius. If you wash your oseas, you should note that a wash at 30 degrees only produces around 0.6 kg of CO2, while a wash at 60 degrees produces almost six times as much, i.e. around 3.6 kg of CO2. It is therefore more environmentally friendly and energy efficient to choose lower washing temperatures to reduce CO2 emissions.
Additional tips :
- It is best to wash your boxer shorts with similar colors to avoid discoloration.
- Use gentle washing programs such as delicates or hand wash to protect the fibers.
- Hang your oseas to dry or lay them flat to avoid stressing the fiber, avoid a dryer.
Follow these care instructions to ensure your oseas last longer and are cared for in an eco-friendly manner. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
